Augustine is located near embassies and major attractions, yet it stands in a quiet area removed from urban activity. Located in the fabled Lesser Town district, right below Prague Castle and just steps away from Charles Bridge, the hotel is a still active Augustinian Monastery. Set across seven buildings, it houses 101 individually furnished rooms and suites in various categories including 4 iconic signature suites to incorporate the iconic character of the spaces they inhabit. The property has excellent dining venues that merge gourmet international cuisine with local flavour. Augustine a unique place for captivating events and summer lends itself celebrations in the tranquil Sundial Garden. Another authentic part of the property is St. Thomas Brewery which was founded in 1358 as the brewery of Augustinian monks. The Augustine is the embodiment of Prague’s momentous character and beauty. It beautifully blends its deep history with modern, contemporary luxury. 

Location

The hotel is located in Mala Strana, or lesser town in central Prague. Charles Bridge is just a 7-minute walk away, and Prague Castle an 11-minute walk. The Old Town Square is a 20 minute walk and it is a 35 minute drive to the airport. 

Rooms

The 101 rooms blend elements of Czech cubism, including art from '20s and '30s Czechoslovakia, with tasteful traditional décor. They boast dramatic views over the internal courtyards, the monastery chapel or the Prague Castle. Facilities include flat-screen television, iPod docking station, CD / DVD player, security safe, portable professional hairdryer, 100% linen sheets with anti-allergic pillows and blankets upon request, and plenty of storage space. The pièce de résistance is the three-floor Tower Suite with the 360-degree view of Prague, set in the monastery's former observatory.

    During the reconstruction of the former monastery into an authentic hotel Augustine a piece of history was discovered behind the old plaster – the original fresco from the 19th century and an original parquet floor. This room was transformed into the Fresco Suite. The lavish bathroom will pamper you with marble vanities and heated floor lighted mirrors and a separate glass door shower with rainforest showerhead and exclusive Bvlgari cosmetics. This suite also offers private terrace which is ideal for entertaining during the summer months.     As you step into the luxurious Monastery Suite, spanning 59 square meters, the feeling is one of luxury and tranquillity. Relax in a king-size bed amidst opulent decor. It also has a separate living area for relaxation. The suite features a marble bathroom with an oversized bathtub and separate shower area. For convenience, a mini-fridge is provided. The suite is ideal for up to three guests.

    The Moser Suite is located on a private level in the monastery building.     This is a three Bedroom Penthouse Suite offering a Prague Castle view. Housed in the former astrological tower of the monastery, the Tower Suite has three floors connected by a spiral staircase offering an unforgettable 360-degree view of Prague…almost reaching the stars.
