Located at the edge of Lake Wakatipu, with one of the most serene landscapes in the world, Matakauri Lodge offers stunning views of the Remarkable, Cecil and Walter Peak mountain ranges. This small, intimate lodge has 11 stylishly furnished suites and villas, each with private terraces overlooking Queenstown lakeside and dramatic mountain views. 

The main lodge consists of spacious lounge, dining and living areas, all with views of Lake Wakatipu. The lodge also offers a range of indoor and outdoor dining options for our guests, including superb private dining options. An elegant meeting space with a business centre offering abundant natural light and views of the mountain ranges beyond. Facilities include a full service luxury spa, infinity swimming pool, and a fully equipped fitness centre. 
Location

Matakauri Lodge is located on the shores of Lake Wakatipu in Queenstown, just 7 minutes by car from the town centre. It is only 20 minutes (10 kms) from Queenstown airport.

    Set on the majestic shores of Lake Wakatipu, the Matakauri Villa offers unrivalled panoramas of the Remarkables, Cecil and Walt~er Peak Mountain ranges from each of its vantage points. Accommodating up to eight guests, each of the four spacious bedrooms offers its own private balcony with lake and mountain vistas. The villa further enhances the culinary experience with an outdoor courtyard, complete with a barbecue, and an extensively equipped kitchen, ready to welcome a private chef for in-house dining if desired. Open fireplaces in the lounge and dining areas, together with an infinity-edge hot tub supremely positioned on the main balcony, completes the private oasis, offering an immersive experience of luxury amidst nature’s grandeur.
