Set amidst the forested mountains, the exclusive Six Senses Paro offers luxury like no other, with panoramic views and exceptional interior designs. It is affectionately known as ‘Stone Ruins’, thanks to its location next to the site of an ancient dzong. The 20 suites and villas are framed by vast floor-to-ceiling windows with dramatic panoramas. The lodge stays true to the Six Senses’ philosophy of responsible luxury with its minimalist architecture. It also offers its signature Six Senses Spa offering a full range of treatments, a well-equipped gym, a private meditation and yoga room and an outdoor sauna and cool dip in the indoor pool.

The hotel is just 10 minutes away from Paro airport and an hours drive from the capital, Thimphu.

The accommodation at Six Senses Paro are designed in a warm style reminiscent of a mountain retreat, with stone walls, wood panelling and neat neutral furnishings arranged for maximum comfort. Neutral, relaxing tones are complemented by the simple lines of natural timber furniture and the presence of local touches such as bukharis (traditional wood-burning stoves) and vegetable-dyed, antique-washed Himalayan rugs. In addition, the large windows offer awe-inspiring valley views.

  • Lodge Suite:

    These suites are designed with large windows and awe-inspiring valley views. Neutral tones are complemented by timber furniture and local decor touches. As an ode to the ancient stone ruins adjacent to the property, some walls are composed of hand-chiseled, local stones. Bathrooms feature a privacy screen and a bathtub arranged next to a large timber-framed window, offering serene views of nature.

  • One-Bedroom Villa:

    With a sizeable indoor and outdoor area, the villa is designed for the ultimate in relaxation and privacy. Large windows and a private outdoor courtyard enable you to soak up awe-inspiring views of Paro Valley and blue pine forests. Some walls are composed of hand-chiseled, local stones. Ideal for entertaining, private dining can be arranged by one of our chefs for up to six people.

  • Two-Bedroom Villa:

    With generous indoor and outdoor space, the two-bedroom villa provides the ultimate in relaxation and privacy. It draws subtly on traditional architectural forms and highlights touches of local decor. Some walls are composed of hand-chiseled, local stones. There's an indoor and outdoor living room with dining for up to six. The deck offers stunning views of Paro Valley and its natural beauty.

  • Three-Bedroom Villa:

    With generous indoor and outdoor space, the villa is designed for relaxation and privacy. Decorated in muted tones, it's perfect for entertaining with an indoor and outdoor living room. Local, hand-chiselled stone is featured on some walls. Private dining for top to six guests can be arranged by one of our chefs. The deck offers stunning views of Paro Valley and all its natural beauty.
