Housed in an 1888 townhouse, this posh boutique hotel has a decadent Victorian flavour with elegant contemporary twists in its design. The hotel has a striking monochromatic lobby and colourful and quirky d cor. The hotel has an enviable location near the Victoria and Albert Museum, Natural History Museum and many of London's most popular tourist attractions. The Ampersand Hotel has an eclectic d cor of its rooms and suites and engages guests with the local area through its five themes - botany, music, geometry, ornithology and astronomy. Afternoon tea in one of the hotels drawing rooms is a special feature. The Apero restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine in the old hotel cellar. The hotel also features meeting and event rooms for celebrations and anniversaries, a Games Room with a ping pong table, the library and smaller Wine Room.
Location

Located in the iconic district of South Kensington, the hotel is well connected with London s Heathrow airport which is around an hour away by road (1 hour) and one a half hour away by the tube (1 ½  hours). The Ampersand is surrounded by some of London s most famous districts, from Knightsbridge and Mayfair to Hyde Park and Chelsea, all within walking distance from the hotel.     The luxurious rooms are inspired by the theme of Astronomy and offer a cozy setting with velvet headboards, small double beds in pillowy duvets, plump cushions and also feature En-suite bathrooms with a walk-in shower or a shower and bath combination along with scented L Occitane toiletries. This room is an ideal accommodation for a short night s stay and is ideal for couples.

  • Superior Rooms

    The rooms are designed with wallpapers influenced by soulful melodies, the Superior Double Rooms are sizable option for accommodation especially for the guests visiting the city for Business purpose as it provides a separate working desk along with other amenities like cappuccino-coloured velvet headboards, cushion-like duvets, complimentary mini-bar, modern en-suite bathroom that includes a large walk-in shower or a bath and shower combination, with luxurious scented toiletries by L'Occitane.

    The spacious deluxe rooms offer sheer comfort and comprises of king-sized pillowy beds with oversized velvet headboards along with an opulent armchair to rejuvenate and relax.     The Deluxe studio features some of the most colourful artworks, quirky lamps, orchids and floral wallpapers that are galvanized by the theme of Botany. The most attractive feature of this room is the colossal royal blue velvet headboard backed by floral wallpaper. Other features of this room include king-size beds, a spacious sitting area for entertainment, a writing desk, En suite bathrooms along with a Bath tub and L'Occitane toiletries.

    The suites are the most lavish and spacious of all the rooms in the hotel, they are located on the top tiers of the building and offer some of the most spectacular views of the city from its floor-to-ceiling windows and balcony. Inspired by the discipline of Geometry, the suites are designed with wallpapers having vivid geometrical shapes with vibrant velvet cushions and are equipped with special features like kitchenette with a microwave oven along with regular amenities that include a king-sized bed, a separate sitting room, a freestanding bath and walk-in shower, or a bath/shower combination.
