Ngorongoro Crater Lodge has been called the game lodge at the top of the world. It offers breathtaking views over one of Africa’s most unforgettable landscapes. Its incredible architecture is inspired by traditional Maasai manyattas. It features rich African & Victorian décor, reminiscent of a bygone era.

Ngorongoro Crater Lodge features three separate and intimate camps with a total of 30 suites perched on stilts: Ngorongoro North Camp and Ngorongoro South Camp, featuring twelve suites each, and the intimate Ngorongoro Tree Camp featuring only six suites. It is also one of National Geographics Unique Lodges of the world. 
 
Location

A number of airlines operate twice daily scheduled flights from Arusha to Lake Manyara. The lodge collects guests from the airstrip in closed game viewing vehicles, with the drive to the lodge taking approximately 1½ hours

Rooms

Ngorongoro Crater Lodge has a total of 30 suites, all on stilts which are in three separate camps - The Ngorongoro North Camp and Ngorongoro South Camp, featuring twelve suites each, and the intimate Ngorongoro Tree Camp featuring only six suites. Each luxurious handcrafted stone and thatch suite has spectacular views of the crater from large glass windows in the bathroom, lounge and bedroom. The suites feature elegant African treasures, beaded chandeliers, beautiful raw silk curtains and leather-backed chairs. Ensuite bathrooms with a dramatic centre piece of red roses feature spacious showers and chandelier-lit bathtubs. Personal butlers bring tea in bed, stoke fireplaces and draw luxurious bubble baths. All this with spectacular views of the magnificent surroundings.

  • Suite

    The lodge consists of three separate camps—North Camp, South Camp, and Tree Camp—each with its own distinct character and atmosphere. These camps are perched on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, providing stunning views of the crater floor and the surrounding scenery. Each camp offers a sel~ection of opulent suites, designed with a blend of traditional African architecture and modern luxury. The suites are lavishly decorated with rich fabrics, elegant furnishings, and unique artwork, creating an atmosphere of indulgence and comfort. The suites feature spacious bedrooms with king-sized beds, lavish bathrooms with freestanding bathtubs, indoor and outdoor showers, and expansive living areas. They are equipped with amenities such as plush bathrobes, slippers, complimentary toiletries, minibars, and tea/coffee making facilities. Most suites include private verandas or balconies that overlook the Ngorongoro Crater, allowing guests to enjoy panoramic views of the wildlife-rich crater floor and the surrounding landscapes in privacy.
