The cutting edge Jackalope Hotel, situated on a private vineyard in Mornington Peninsula near Melbourne, draws inspiration from alchemic and mythological themes, and promises you an experience like none other! With a monolithic, jet-black exterior, the hotel stands in sharp contrast to the verdant rolling vines around it. This juxtaposition hints to the hotel’s namesake, a mythical creature that exists only in folklore – part-jackrabbit, part-antelope. Jackalope combines a 143-year-old Mornington Peninsula homestead and winery with a strikingly modern 45-room hotel. A classy combination of urban design, original artworks and gourmet cuisine, makes a stay here a truly memorable event. The lavish and quirky hotel also features art commissions and installations, destination dining, an on-property winery and cellar door, function rooms, a spa and a 30m infinity pool.

Jackalope offers 45 rooms in three accommodation categories. The Terrace rooms and Vineyard rooms feature bespoke furnishings and a minimalist style, these rooms are 38 sq. mts. in size. Their signature suites called “Lairs” are 85 sq. mts. in size and feature loft ceilings with vistas of the infinity pool and vines. Custom mosaics and bathroom fixtures finished in bronze or copper, create a reverie of luxury at every step.

  • Terrace Room:

    Floor-to-ceiling windows open onto a spacious private terrace with an outdoor lounge. Rooms are lavishly laid out with king size beds and the finest furnishings, creating a space that is tactile, sensuous and lush. Bathrooms feature double vanities, custom amenities, and either a deep-soak stone bath with separate shower or an extended lounge and deluxe shower.

  • Terrace with Bath

    Experience luxury the Terrace Room with floor-to-ceiling windows, a private terrace, and a king size bed with sunrise views. Relax with Zuster furniture and a lavish bathing space featuring a Japanese stone bath, a rain shower, and Tom Dixon amenities. With 38 sqm indoors and a 12 sqm terrace, unwind in tranquillity and elegance.

  • Vineyard Room:

    Enjoy pleasing views of the vineyard and the infinity pool from the private terrace of your room. The room has plush king bed, tailor-made furnishings that make for a unique space. Bathrooms feature double vanities, custom amenities, and either a deep-soak stone bath with separate shower or an extended lounge and deluxe shower.

  • Vineyard with Bath

    The Vineyard room offers intoxicating vineyard views. Revel in luxury of floor-to-ceiling windows, a private terrace, and a lavish king size bed. The rooms feature custom Zuster furniture and a lavish bathing space featuring a deep-soak Japanese stone bath, rain shower, and double vanities. Enjoy heated flooring and Tom Dixon amenities for a spa-like retreat. With 38 sqm indoors and a 6 sqm terrace, this room exudes elegance in every detail.

  • Lair:

    These luxurious signature suites feature five-meter high loft ceilings and uninterrupted views over the infinity pool and vines. The Lairs are lavished with a king-sized bed, alfresco lounge and dining, an indoor/outdoor fireplace, six-seater dining table, kitchenette, a cocktail bar and a personal wine cellar. A daring crystal-copper lighting installation illuminates the loft and compliments the tone of the room’s exclusive furnishings. The gracefully appointed gilded bathroom delivers double vanities, custom-made amenities, a signature deep soak stone tub, and a separate double shower.
