La Residence is a 30-acre spectacular château-style estate set amidst beautiful vineyards, lush gardens and fruit orchards at the foothills of the Franschhoek Mountains. Its magical setting enjoys breathtaking views and an atmosphere of complete tranquility. The interiors of the hotel are magnificent and are filled with beautiful antiques, Persian rugs and fine art work. 


The hotel has a stunning infinity pool which overlooks the vineyards beyond. Guests can indulge in a range of spa treatments at the spa or in the privacy of their own room or balcony. La Residence restaurant’s dining area is ultra romantic and is reminiscent of a manor hall, resplendent with dazzling chandeliers, black and white flooring and vast fireplaces. Wine and hors d'oeuvres are served every evening by the fire or outdoors. The outdoor dining offers a delightful setting with panoramic mountain views for alfresco summer meals. When temperatures drop, guests can curl up with a book in the library and sip hot chocolate or ginger tea beside an open fire amidst the collection of fine paintings. The hotel has a bar offering a wide selection of cigars and drinks of all kinds. The La Residence is a perfect place for relaxation, excellent food and wine.
Location

La Residence is a 5 minute drive from the centre of the village of Franschhoek. Franschhoek itself is just an hour’s drive from Cape Town, or 45 minutes from Cape Town International Airport. 

Rooms

La Residence offers guests 11 gorgeously decorated suites and 5 new Vineyard villas. All the rooms have their own distinct personality with their own colour scheme and set of design influences. Luxurious common amenities include Persian rugs, hand-painted wardrobes, Indian chandeliers and antique furniture. Expansive patios and high French windows give exquisite views over the courtyard, the pool, and the orchards. La Residence Suites in the Vineyard offer a variety of configurations - a suite for two, or a suite for four or six, offering a sociable and fun alternative to the main hotel. Other mod cons are a king size bed, flat screen TV with satellite TV, wireless connection, safe deposit box, mini bar, iPod dock, tea/coffee making facilities. The very spacious & elegant bathrooms have a bathtub and rain shower, exquisite toiletries, bathrobes and slippers.

    A picture of opulence and comfort, the Luxury Suites offer stunning views across the valley. The ensuite bathrooms are fitted with an indulgent large bath and shower. The room can easily accommodate 2 guests and offers underfloor heating, tea- and coffee-making facilities, in-room safes, TV, telephone and international adaptors and hairdryers. (Size 90 sq. m).

    Superior Suites are generously sized, providing ample space for relaxation and comfort. Each suite is individually decorated with a unique blend of rich fabrics, antique furnishings, and vibrant colors, creating a sophisticated and opulent atmosphere. The room can easily accommodate 2 guests and offers underfloor heating, tea- and coffee-making facilities, in-room safes, TV, telephone and international adaptors and hairdryers. The en-suite bathrooms are expansive, often equipped with marble finishes, deep soaking tubs, separate showers, and double vanities. (Size 100 sq. m).

    This two-bedroom suite has a central living and dining area, covered patio, private garden and pool.   • Three Bedroom Vineyard Suite

    This three-bedroom suite has two bedrooms plus one children's bedroom, central living & dining area, covered patio, private garden & private swimming pool. The two larger rooms are 35 sqm and 30 sqm in size respectively, while the children's room is 15 sqm in size. . These suites provide ample space with separate bedroom and living areas, offering a comfortable and private retreat. Suites are equipped with state-of-the-art amenities including flat-screen TVs, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and a well-stocked minibar. The living area is furnished with comfortable seating, perfect for relaxation or entertaining. Some suites may also feature a fireplace, adding to the cozy atmosphere. (Size 165 sq. m).
