Mont Rochelle, a charming 22 bedroom hotel and vineyard, sits on 100 acres of picturesque land. The thatched roof hotel has stunning views across the vineyards. This boutique hotel offers a wonderful amalgamation of rich colonial heritage and contemporary design and modern facilities. 

It has a cozy bar, a spa with a hammam, a heated pool and a superb wine cellar. It also has 2 restaurants – Country Kitchen for casual dining and Miko for fabulous gourmet meals. The Manor House winery, designed in the Old World Cape Dutch style, adds to the estate's allure.

Location

Mont Rochelle is a 45 minute drive from Cape Town and within 35 minutes of Stellenbosch and Paarl.  is a 5 minute drive from the centre of the village of Franschhoek. Franschhoek itself is just an hour’s drive from Cape Town, or 45 minutes from Cape Town International Airport. 

Rooms

Mont Rochelle offers its guests 16 rooms and 6 suites, all of which offer beautiful views of the mountains, the vineyards and Franschoek valley. The rooms are categorised by name of wines. While each room is different, the common factor is the elegant and stylish décor with a restrained dash of colour. All the rooms feature under floor heating, tea-coffee making facilities, DVD player and a television. The beds are all king sized, the mini bar is complimentary and the bathrooms offer luxurious bathrobes and top class amenities.

  • Shiraz Room

    This elegantly appointed room provides spacious comfort with a large, plush king-size bed that can be set up as either a double or twin beds. It features a desk area and luxurious upholstered furnishings that create a refined atmosphere. There are also large French doors that open out onto views of the valley or courtyard, and all the home comforts you’d expect for an unforgettable stay.   • Cabarnet Room

  • Cap Classique Suite

    Located in the Vineyard Wing, each suite features a separate lounge to rest and relax, a large sleeping space and elegant en-suite. There’s also a show stopping private terrace with sensational valley and mountain views, and a refreshing plunge pool. Decked out in sophisticated, neutral hues, these calming suites offer a truly restorative place to stay.   • The Manor House

    The Manor House is available for individual room stays capturing that home away from home feel with all the luxury of a hotel stay for an exceptional getaway in the winelands. Exclusively for families or groups and comfortably sleep eight adults, and up to six children in the bunk room. Enjoy stunning views, spacious social areas including a large dining area and games room, and a well-appointed kitchen, gym and outdoor heated swimming pool. A private chef can also be arranged. The Manor House offers 4 stunning rooms, Chardonnay Room 1, Chardonnay Room 2, Viognier Room and the magnificent loft suite. Each room features elegant decor, luxurious amenities, and stunning views of the surrounding vineyards and mountains.
