Qualia (pronounced kwah-lee-ah) in Latin means "a collection of deeper sensory experiences".  Qualia  is one of Australia's premiere luxury accommodation options. Its private pavilions are fringed by the coral gardens of the Great Barrier Reef in the Whitsunday Islands. Qualia's distinctive style combined with it's sun-drenched location and intuitive service makes it a luxurious retreat. Location

Qualia is situated on the secluded northern-most tip of Hamilton Island in the Whitsundays, a group of 74 continental islands lying off central Queensland’s tropical coast.

Each of qualia’s 60 light-filled luxurious pavilions faces the water, surrounded by tropical bushland with uninterrupted views over the sea.

  • Leeward Pavillion

    Elegantly designed and beautifully furnished, the one-bedroom aouthwest-facing freestanding Leeward Pavilions have a private sundeck with eucalypts framing the ocean vistas. Furnished with comfortable sun lounges, the sundeck also has outdoor seating for enjoying the sun-dappled views over Hamilton Island and the Coral Sea. Cool polished floors and timber details, a subtle colour palette and stylish decor, create a uniquely relaxed beach house ambience. (Size 90sqm)

  • Windward Pavillion

    Qualia’s north-facing Windward Pavilions each complete with its own private infinity-edge plunge pool, provide flawless design, soothing decor and expansive Coral Sea and Whitsunday Island views. The secluded sundeck has comfortable designer furnishings for poolside reclining and the spacious pavilion has a light and breezy interior, highlighted by warm timber floors and expansive windows. There’s plenty of room to unwind in style in a Windward Pavilion, with a separate living area, bedroom and bathroom. (Size 120sqm)

  • Beach House

    The jewel in the crown of qualia’s luxury accommodation is the Beach House - a private beachfront hideaway. With the pure luxury of its own 12-metre infinity swimming pool surrounded by expansive furnished decks and tropical landscaped gardens the elegant Beach House is ideal for both hiding away and entertaining. The expansive lounge area has a luxurious amount of space along with its beautiful furnishings and designer details - the separate dining room can seat up to 10 people. The Beach House qualia has a separate bedroom with a private deck, and luxury toiletries are on hand for pampering in the spacious stone bathroom, with a bath and separate shower. Additional guests can stay in superb comfort in the separate guesthouse, with an ensuite bathroom and private deck.   • Sunset Pavilion

    The Sunset Pavilion at Qualia is located by the shore and next to a private helipad. Its westward orientation offers mesmerizing views of the surrounding islands, creating an ideal setting for admiring the famous Whitsunday sunsets and observing the bustling activities of air and sea enthusiasts. It features a spacious bedroom, a separate study, a fully-equipped kitchen, and laundry facilities.   • The Residence

    Nestled on the secluded western side of Qualia, this three-bedroom residence epitomizes Australian luxury with sweeping, uninterrupted views of the coral Sea and surrounding islands. It features two bedrooms in the main residence and a separate guest house and boasts the largest layout at Qualia. The open-plan design seamlessly integrates a full kitchen, lounge, and dining area, flowing effortlessly onto two outdoor relaxation spaces. Here, a 22-meter infinity-edge lap pool invites indulgence, providing the perfect setting to unwind and soak in the evening sunsets.
