The Charles Hotel in Munich is crisp, contemporary and design oriented. It is a haven for lovers of art with an abundance of original works through the hotel - paintings by Franz von Lenbach, photography by Hubertus von Hohenlohe and Faber Castell sculptures. The hotel is right in the city centre overlooking the Old Botanical garden, an easy walk to the Neue Pinakothek Museum  and just 500mts away from the train station. It boasts some of the largest rooms in Munich hotel with contemporary interiors and subtle Bavarian design. This 5 star design hotel in Munich offers an exclusive spa, indoor swimming pool, soundproof rooms with wireless connections and an elegant terrace restaurant  Sophias whose leafy terrace is a lovely enclave during the summer & spring. The Charles Hotel is located in the heart of Munich overlooking the Botanical Garden, walking distance from Museums & shopping arcades. It is 30 minutes from the Munich International airport and 5 minutes from central Munich train station.  

Rooms

The Charles Hotel Munich has 160 rooms all designed in Bavarian Style. The rooms are spacious and wide-open, and either overlook the Old Botanical garden or the historical town of Munich. Each room, elegantly designed by well known designer Olga Polizzi, is cool and contemporary with an individual charm and Franz Von Lenbach’s art displayed in each room. Luxurious facilities include air conditioning, flat screen TV, free wireless, spacious limestone clad bathrooms with separate bath & shower, free garage parking. The in room facilities include bath robes & towels, toiletries and tea/coffee maker.

  • Classic rooms

    These elegant Classic Rooms are Munich’s largest. As generous in size as they are stylish, they feature large-scale contemporary artworks by Hubertus von Hohenlohe, abstractly depicting the artist in the Bavarian capital. In the spacious limestone bathrooms, meanwhile, bespoke objects from Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactory catch the eye, along with the range of luxurious Forte Organics toiletries.     The lavish Presidential 2-Bed Suite is one of the grandest residences. Beautifully marrying the views of the Old Botanical Garden with the nature-inspired decor, the suite echoes the arboreal scenes visible from its private terrace; the perfect place to take in the evening air, with a glass or two from your private In-Suite Apéro Bar. The stunning vistas continue throughout the distinguished space, from the elegant circular master bedroom with its own walk-in wardrobe to the artwork hanging in the refined sitting room.   • Monforte Suite

    Named from the village birthplace of Lord Forte, which was renamed Monforte in his honour, the Monforte Royal Suite is the most distinguished residence. Found on the top floor of The Charles Hotel, itself also named for the Forte patriarch, this is a one-of-a-kind suite that celebrates family and luxury in equal measure.  It can be combined with the Presidential 2-Bed Suite to create a lavish, expansive three-bedroom apartment, or enjoyed as a sublime one-bedroom residence. From the original paintings by Franz von Lenbach and stunning objets d’art to the grand piano in the elegant sitting room and the curated collection of antiques, the suite effortlessly combines the classic with the contemporary. Floor-to-ceiling windows and French balcony doors flood the stunning space with natural light, illuminating the numerous stylish spaces, including the study, dining room, and the kitchen. The bedroom, meanwhile, has a large walk-in wardrobe and the generous bathroom is finished in sea-green marble and outfitted with luxurious Irene Forte Skincare products, a freestanding bathtub, built-in television, and sweeping views out over the treetops and verdigris rooftops of historic Munich.
