Overview

The Victoria Falls Hotel is a grand Edwardian-era hotel built by the British in 1904, when Cecil Rhodes famously attempted to link Cape Town to Cairo by rail, it is today a famous luxury brand. A ten-minute stroll on a private footpath of lush gardens takes you to the Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. The hotel is surrounded by tropical gardens, lily ponds and century-old shade trees. The guestrooms and suites are lavish, spacious and traditional in style. Afternoon tea is served on Stanley Terrace that overlooks the Victoria Falls Bridge linking Zimbabwe to Zambia, offering stunning panoramic views. An array of special experiences such as sunset river cruises, guided game drives, helicopter and micro-light flights over the Falls can be arranged.

Location

The Victoria Falls hotel is located 25-minute (22kms) drive from the Victoria Falls International Airport, an hour’s drive to the Botswana border and a half-hour drive across the gorge into Zambia.
