Overview

One of National Geographic’s Unique Lodges of the World, the Topas Ecolodge is an impressive 33 villa sustainable property. Situated atop two cone shaped hills, high in the spectacular Sapa Valley, it has breathtaking views across the scenic valleys below. The rustic chalet-style houses are spread in a circular fashion around the hill. Started by a Danish travel company, with a vision to provide its guests with comfort in the remotest area in complete sync with nature and the communal tribes who are the original inhabitants of this area.
 For those, seeking sheer tranquillity and peace in the wilderness, this lodge is perfect. The accommodation at the Lodge is void of basic amenities like TV and Wifi allowing guests to immerse themselves in the area, to relax completely and enjoy some peace while in the lap of nature. The traditional restaurant serves authentic local Vietnamese as well as Western cuisine alongside stunning views, and the lounge makes a great place to wind down after dinner with a drink. They do offer an infinity pool with breathtaking views of the mountains and valleys and a spa specializing in traditional Red Dao herbal baths. The Topas Ecolodge is perfect for those with an open mind and an adventurous spirit 

Location

The lodge can be accessed either via private 5 hour transfer from Hanoi. It is located 18 km outside Sapa town and the journey from Sapa takes 45 minutes. The hotel can provide this transfer in a luxury 8-seater shuttle van equipped with modern sound systems, USB Ports, LED TV and complimentary wifi along with snacks and drinks served on the way.  

Rooms

Each of the 33 bungalow is comfortably and creatively designed and lets in plentiful natural light. The stone-walled villas are furnished in a minimal style, with private balconies, tiled bathrooms with hot water and interior seating. Solar panels heat the water and provide electricity for the lights.

  • Premium Executive Bungalows –

    These 29 palatial bungalows truly define luxury with its simple interiors offering stunning views of the Thanh Kim village and Mt. Silverstone in the Hoang Lien mountain range from their private balconies. Each of these bungalows have been constructed from the local white granite which is available in the encompassing surrounding and are equipped with air conditioning, a minibar, high quality duvets, mosquito nets and a rain shower. The maximum number of guests that these suites can accommodate are 3 Adults or 2 Adults and 2 Children. Bungalow Size: 29 m2 plus 6 m2 open private balcony.

  • Suite Bungalows –

    The suite bungalows are two tiered constructs with an entrance through the second floor that leads to a modern living room and comprises of a private balcony, a spacious, luxury bathroom with a natural stone bathtub, shower and amenities. On the other hand the lower tier or the ground floor features a very private layout with a large bedroom, an en-suite bathroom and private terrace. Both the tiers are well equipped with air conditioning, a minibar and other luxury amenities similar to the Premium Executive Bungalows. These bungalows too can accommodate upto 3 adults or 2 adults with 2 children. Bungalow Size: 29 m2 plus 6 m2 open private balcony.

  • The Deluxe Suite bungalows

    The Deluxe Suite bungalows come with heated floors and water heated via underground air pumps, so you can relax in eco-friendly opulence. Marvel at the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys from both floors of the chalet-style home, adorned with tasteful Scandinavian accents. Conveniently located near the saltwater infinity pools and Rice Spa, the Deluxe Suite is ideal for families and groups of friends. Additionally, interconnecting deluxe suites are available, allowing for a seamless experience for larger groups.

  • Pool Villas

    Pool Villas offer breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys from the veranda and eco-heated swimming pool. Located separately from the rest of the resort, these villas provide the utmost privacy during your stay. As a Pool Villa guest, you will have access to a dedicated butler service. Your butler will ensure a seamless experience, starting with an exclusive in-room check-in along with a complimentary bottle of champagne. They are available to assist with various tasks such as hanging clothes, making spa bookings, and arranging dining reservations.
